While Refrigerant Recovery Systems simply move refrigerant from one place to another and do not clean, the VTech series of Refrigerant Reclaim units restore refrigerant to ARI 700 classification for near-virgin purity quality for reuse and resale. Their unique design removes Oils, Acids, and Solid contaminants as well as evacuates the unit to ARI 740-1993 specifications for refrigerant recycling and reclaim equipment. Other systems available on the market do not meet these standards; VTech’s Refrigerant Reclaim Systems ensure compliance with all government and industry requirements for safe handling of refrigerants.
VTech’s VRec-HC is designed to perform R600a or R290a exhaust and vacuum cycles in new or old refrigerators to be repaired or recycled. The exhaust of HC gas charge from a refrigerator by simply venting to atmospheric pressure or by means of a simple vacuum cycle can leave behind a few grams of HC refrigerant per 100 cc of compressor oil. VRec-HC performs an automatic purging cycle, removing up to 98% of the total HC charge within 20 minutes.
